Why Did God Put Me Here?

The question caught me off guard.
I was standing in line, wearing a shirt that read: "God put me here for a reason." A woman beside me glanced over and asked, "So, why did God put you here?"
At first, I was confused by the question, forgetting I was wearing the shirt. Honestly, I didn’t have an answer ready so I responded by saying "to be a mother" because it was the first thing that popped into my head. It was an honest moment. But afterward, the question lingered.
Why did God put me here?
I knew the answer in my soul, but I hadn't yet found the words to articulate it on command. That single question opened a door to something deeper. It wasn't just small talk. It was a divine invitation to stand firm in who I am, what I carry, and why I'm here.
The Truth I Know in My Spirit
I know that God placed me here to be a living, breathing example of His grace, favor, and love. My life—with its highs, lows, breakthroughs, and quiet in-between moments—is a reflection of what God can do with a willing, obedient heart.
I'm here to embody His goodness. To mother with intention. To speak life. To live with purpose. To grow through the healing. To remind others that transformation is possible and joy is real.
I may not always have the perfect words, but I am the evidence. And sometimes, that’s enough.
When You Know It, Own It
Moments like that remind me that we don’t just wear our purpose on t-shirts or write it in journals. We live it.
It’s easy to second-guess your place in the world, especially when you're still evolving. But purpose isn’t a destination. It’s a presence. It’s a way of being.
You don’t have to have the whole roadmap to say, "This is who I am. This is why I’m here."
Here’s What I Know Now
God put me here to be a vessel. A reminder. A bridge.
I am here to:
- Reflect His love through motherhood and mentorship
- Speak life into dry places
- Remind others of their worth and identity in Him
- Live in a way that makes people curious about the God I serve
My purpose isn’t about perfection. It’s about alignment. Obedience. Presence.
And when someone asks again, I won’t hesitate.
Your Turn: Reflect and Remember
If you’re reading this, maybe this is your divine nudge too. Maybe God is asking you to pause and reflect:
- Why did God put you here?
- What part of your life speaks louder than words?
- What truth are you being called to embody more boldly?
Take a moment. Write it down. Own it.
Because you, too, were placed here with intention.
And the world is waiting for your answer.
Affirm aloud. "I was placed here on purpose, for a purpose. I am a living example of God’s grace, and I shine His love in everything I do. My life is evidence of divine intention." And begin to walk boldly in that truth.
